INTERLIBRARY LOAN PROCEDURES
INTERLIBRARY LOAN PROCEDURES

First, check the Pace online catalog carefully (if checked out, see if an item can be recalled).

Pace Law School students, faculty, and staff may submit electronic requests for research materials that are not available in the Law Library or any other Pace University library, and unavailable online or required in hard copy.

Note: Requests for copies must comply with copyright law (U.S.C. Title 17). Libraries and archives may make photocopies and other reproductions of copyrighted works only under conditions specified in the law. One is that they not be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." Users who request or use such reproductions for purposes in excess of "fair use" may be liable for copyright infringement. Pace Law Library reserves the right to refuse a request if, in its judgment, fulfillment would violate U.S. copyright law. By proceeding you certify that you have read the above notice, understand it, and will adhere to its contents

Log in using your personal Pace E-Mail address and first name. Otherwise new requests will not be processed  (even if they appear to be), and you will be unable to check the status your requests.

Materials may take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive. Plan ahead!  Students are e-mailed when requests are filled (or if they cannot be filled).  Materials are held at the Circulation Desk.  Faculty and staff materials are delivered.

To further its commitment to provide all research materials needed by members of the Pace Law School community, the Law Library underwrites all reasonable costs for interlibrary loans. Patrons may assume responsibility for prohibitive charges. Note, however: the Law Library will NOT pay patrons' overdue fines.
