Faculty Teaching Preference Questionnaire
Putting together an effective course schedule is one of the most challenging tasks of the Academic Dean. For the past few years, it has been the custom of the Academic Dean to solicit and attempt to honor a single request from each faculty member regarding teaching schedules (e.g., “do not schedule me for a Monday afternoon class, because of my standing bar association committee meeting that day”). This year, we again ask you to let the Academic Dean know of any “special requests” you may have. Blanket requests (e.g., “do not schedule me to teach in the evening”) will be disregarded entirely. Please do not assume that the Academic Dean knows your request unless you write it on this form. The Academic Dean will try to accommodate one (and likely only one) request from each faculty member. There is no guarantee that any accommodation will be made.
Please also answer two additional questions below to indicate your general preferences for your teaching schedule. We may not be able to accommodate any of these preferences in the end, but we will consider them before making the schedule.
